The Salton Sea – Palm Springs – Off the Beaten Path

Palm Springs is known for its Desert Resorts, Coachella, and Son Bono. Hollywood stars and socialites from Los Angeles travel two hours to soak in the desert sun and splash in hotel pool parties. But what if you wanted to do something different than the same ole Palm Springs Scene? What if you wanted to go on a road trip to visit something so unique and strange you wouldn’t think you were in America anymore. That is where the Salton Sea and Salvation Mountain comes into play.

A Couple of Hours in Ketchikan, Alaska

Ketchikan was the last port of call until the long sail back to Vancouver. We were also in port from 11:15 am until 7:45 pm, so it was a different vibe and feel for excursion day. I had decided to purchase tickets online through a third party to visit Misty Fjords National Monument, so it was the first time that we were actually on our own.

Disney Wonder: Best of Juneau Excursion – Plus Whales

The fifth day of the cruise we were ready to see some whales! Before we were even able to get off of the ship, we ran into Mickey and Minnie Mouse in the hallway! Even though there are tons of planned character events, my family opted out of participating in any of these activities due to lines and just the time allotted to see the characters.
